Indoor Warning Systems
Industry Warning Systems are becoming an
important application in offices, factories, airports, shopping malls, warehouses, and
other large facilities. OSHA Requirement 1910.165 refers to requirements for
employee alarm systems and emergency action. Whelen has introduced products to
answer your warning system needs. Select a system listed below to learn details
about it. If you need further assistance or have more questions, Email Fesler's Inc.
SuperVnet
SuperVnet is the Supervisory System that checks the actual
operating status of every speaker and strobe light in your Employee Alarm
System. SuperVnet provides the highest assurance that employees in
your system will be notified in the event of a plant emergency. The strobe
lights and speakers are tested at functional levels that will provide an assurance
of acoustic or light output.
The SuperVnet operates with Whelen's
EAS-400/800 warning system, and up to 64 remote nodes. Nodes
consist of a speaker and its SpeakerVisor or a strobe light and its StobeVisor. Finding
a defective speaker or strobe is made easy. Opening the cabinet door after
the system has reported trouble, will let you review the SuperVnet Master Node's
LCD Display. The operational status of all speakers and nodes will be
displayed along with the latest diagnostic SI TEST.
EAS-400/800
The EAS-400/800 is a self-contained warning system. The unit operates from it's own battery
supply, providing up to 30 minutes of warning capability in the event of AC power
failure. The EAS-400/800 system is a microprocessor based controller.
The tone generator is capable of producing six warning tones,
along with live Public Address, and pre-recorded digital voice
messaging. The can have one or two-400 watt power amplifiers
with four-100 watt channels per amplifier. The unite also has the
capability to perform the diagnostic SI TEST, to assure functionality of
the system.
SpeakerVisor
The SpeakerVisor evaluates the performance of a speaker during an SI TEST or a full
power warning signal. Each SpeakerVisor has microprocessor based speaker diagnostics
and a multi-tap transformer for speaker volume adjustment. The ASK communications
modem and NEMA 4 housing and mounting bracket is provided with the system.
StrobeVisor
The StrobeVisor controls strobe light activation and performs local
node diagnostics. Diagnostics checks include System AC power,
System DC power and battery charger operation. Each StrobeVisor includes microprocessor
based node diagnostics and battery supply for strobe light and
battery charger.
The IPS-400/800 In-Plant Personnel Warning
System allows you to transmit life-saving information instantly to personnel throughout
your facility. Issue a siren alert and follow it with a voice message. The
self-contained unit is the cost effective delivery system for providing warning
communication throughout your facility. It eliminates the need for expensive wiring
of speakers to a central point. Speakers are wired directly to the IPS-400/800
remote station which is linked to a central control point via RF or landline (telephone
circuit).
The unit features a smart microprocessor based
controller. Tone generation can occur with multiple tones or pre-recorded voice
messages, or live public address. One or two 400 watt power amplifiers can be
employed with combinations of speakers. The IPS-400/800 operates on its own batter
supply in the event of AC power failure and will run up to 30 minutes from a fully charged
battery.
The system can be adapted as your requirements
grow or change, using the same field-proven electronics as Whelen's Outdoor Voice &
Siren Systems.
